Robin Parker
Executive Director
Biography
Robin Parker is the Executive Director of the Beyond Diversity Resource
Center. Parker facilitates diversity training for individuals, businesses,
educational institutions, human relations commissions and police agencies;
sponsors conferences on cultural diversity and community dialogue; and
lectures extensively about the need for individual and community intervention
in solving the problems of racism, bigotry and prejudice.
Before joining the Center, Parker served as a Deputy Attorney General
in the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. He was appointed Chief
of the Office of Bias Crime and Community Relations in June 1994. In
that position, he was responsible for the statewide investigation and
prosecution of bias crime. Under his leadership, the office also developed
groundbreaking diversity initiatives including the Institute for Human
Relations and the administration of the New Jersey Human Relations Council.
He
is a 1983 graduate of the University of Illinois Law School where he
received a full scholarship. He is also a graduate of Rutgers University
where he received a B.A. in 1980.

Pamela
Smith Chambers
Training Director
Biography
Pamela Smith Chambers is the Training Director of the Beyond Diversity
Resource Center. Prior to joining the Center, Chambers was the Supervising
Program Development Specialist in the New Jersey Office of Bias Crime
and Community Relations. Ms. Chambers also previously served as Director
of Counseling and Education Services at the YWCA of Trenton. There she
co-founded and implemented training in the Racial Justice Program in
addition to directing the YWCA’s Sexual Assault Care Program and
its Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
Before joining the staff of the YWCA in 1987, Chambers worked at Educational
Testing Service for fifteen years. Her responsibilities included work
on issues of test fairness for persons of color and women.
Chambers attended Trenton State College where she received a B.A. degree
in English and an M.A. degree in Counseling. She serves as an Instructor
in English at Mercer County Community College.
Nancy
Mamis-King
Research and Development Director
Biography
Nancy Mamis-King is the Research and Development Director of the Beyond
Diversity Resource Center. Mamis-King is also the Associate Executive
Director of New York’s Neighborhood Youth and Family Services,
a social service agency that works to ensure the health and safety of
low-income families in the Bronx. She has been engaged in diversity
training since 1963, and has worked extensively in formulating social
service programs and community outreach initiatives. Among her many
activities, Mamis-King is a member of Board of the Panel of Americans,
and a founding member of the Glen Ridge (New Jersey) Human Relations
Committee.
Mamis-King received a B.A. from Bennington College and a M.S.W. from
Fordham University. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Yeshiva University’s
Wurzweiler School of Social Work. For thirteen years she also taught
Social Policy at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social
Service.
